Monitoring and evaluation of project activities are essential for measuring and assessing the extent to which objectives and results have been achieved. This involves the systematic and continuous assessment of progress, through the collection and analysis of information, and the use of this information to improve project work. It also includes measuring, at a given point in time, the effects and impact of a project on the beneficiary populations.
IRESCO has a Research and Monitoring & Evaluation (RM&E) department with a team of 4 permanent experts and 10 consultants in operational research, applied research and monitoring & evaluation. Since 1993, the institution has carried out monitoring and evaluation work (baseline studies, monitoring studies, operational research, technical assistance in monitoring and evaluation and evaluation work, M&E training) in Cameroon, several Sub-Saharan African countries, the Maghreb and Madagascar.
To date, IRESCO has provided technical support to various partners in the field of monitoring and evaluation (capacity building and verification of program implementation), and has directly monitored and evaluated its own development projects.
